Also, if you telephone your order and collect later you still get the discount. I did.

I have found Midland Chandlers to be very good. Probably not as good if you were to shop around. But for convenience good.

Be careful what you but though. We bought a copper kettle which has turn out to be of cheap quality. the price, in hindsight, reflected this quality.

I bought a gas changeover valve which failed after a year (and one bottle change). Had huge difficulty in getting it changed and a couple of real rows with the shop manager. In the end insisted it got sent back to the manufacturer who changed it without question, but it should have been the retailer's responsibility. Never got an apology.

Not so good at arithmetic then, eh?

£100 plus 20% = £120

£120 less 20% = £96

Prices would STILL be cheaper on sale day!

:D

P.S. can I have a medal??

I gave you a greenie. A point that took me for years to get across to SWMBO was that a three percent pay rise followed by a further three percent 6 months later is better than a simple six parcent pay rise. (Provided of course that you did not need the cash immediately!)

Midland Chandlers have a 20% discount day on Friday 5th Oct. A worthwhile saving if you need any big items

Thanks for notification.

I've found them to be fairly competitive these days compared to most other chandlers.

I does depend, and depend on if you include online outlets.

Rule float switch on Midlands is £26

I can find it for the same money on ebay bundled with a small rule pump

Or I can buy a SeaFlow float switch (which appears to be the same item) for £8

That said, I doubt any canalside outlets have a float switch for under £20, so there, they are competitive.
