I already have 20A MPPT Controller with led indication only. I would like one with a digital display showing amps into the batteries.

Not too bothered on make, as long as it is reliable, and fit for purpose.

Just go onto ebay and get a digital panel meter/shunt and use that with your existing controller. About £5 instead of £50.

What he said. Seems mad to replace a working controller just to add an ammeter.

I have the BMV 600 from Victron. It's a tad more expensive but IMO a top bit of kit. It shows the basics very simply, but if you delve into the deeper menus it's scary how much it's recording.

 

I have a live display for the MPPT and the BMV. The real time voltage data is always within .2v. The amps data differs of course as the BMV is showing the net value. However this is pretty much the same when the inverter is switched off.
