Have had a request from someone who would like to contact/find out what happened to a Martin who ran Barnham & Angel in the late 1080's. Does anyone know of him?

That will be Martin Cottis who operated BARNHAM and ANGEL with Anne Edmunson from late 1988 to 1993, trading as Metropolitan and Midland - first set up by John and Sue Yates, London.

John and Sue had Angel and Antares at Battlebridge Basin in the early eighties. They now have Buckden which often tows Saturn to various northern events. Middlewich and Northwich recently.

True - and they bought BARNHAM in 1981 which they restored as a carrying boat. They then became the Southern Agent for Ashby Canal Transport.

Didn't they trade from the wharf at Grove Lock near Linslade for a while
