canalman1946
Hi, I need to get from barrow on soar to sawley tomorrow, does anybody know the state of the river?
matty40s
There's no EA flood warnings, and the Soar hasn't been particularly high since early december apart from a blip late Jan. The rain forecast tommorow should appear later so go for it.

(Hard to imagine what justified such a request to remove a quote from their site, but can't be a**ed to find out!) I never found any reference to the navigation being closed or open on there website, I did e-mail the chap who controls the traffic light at the lock, but he never replied. Got my info from Fazely office.
