could there be a diode on the alternator itself? I did notice it was warm the other day well after the engine was shut down?

My engine battery is discharging unless I switch engine battery master off, any clues?

Yeah, I know what you mean, but If I bypass the bulb, it charges?

I have two alternators, the one that charges the engine battery is getting very hot after only 5 minutes running. I'm getting 14.5V, so its working, just getting very hot! any ideas? A little more info.. the red charging light stays on and there's no output, if I bypass the light, it charges. I've changed the relay switch.

I never found any reference to the navigation being closed or open on there website, I did e-mail the chap who controls the traffic light at the lock, but he never replied. Got my info from Fazely office.

Apart from phoning Bw ref the state of the river, is there any other way of checking? ie a website? Waterscape doesn't mention the navigation being in flood or closed.
