  2. I think they were planning an early lunch at Trent Lock. http://www.vintageinn.co.uk/thetrentlocksawley/ They wanted to make a day of it and not get to Redhill Marina too early. I forgot to say there were 2 lockies seeing them through. That makes NINE in all.
  3. Hi , Spotted this at Sawley lock about 09.30 today. A crew of SEVEN on their way to Redhill Marina on the river Soar. Yes there was a butty breasted up to it .................... Regards, Patrick.
  4. Yes I will see if I can upload it to that site....... I have changed the 'Pictures of England' description. Thanks again Carlt and Jo. Patrick.
  5. Hi Carlt, Wow ! That was quick, now all I have to do is change the description on the "Pictures of England' website, That may take a bit longer . Thanks again, Patrick.
  6. Hi Guys, I originally had it as Woodford Halse but have been told it is'nt ! Why I named it that I am not sure ? Regards, Patrick.
  7. Hi, Please can someone tell me the village or name of this church ? I took the picture last year on my trip to Bedford ( might have been back from Bedford. It was on the Great Ouse or the Nene. Picture taken from the back of my boat with the river running to the right and then turning left infront of the church. Thanks for any help.................
  8. Another man who had his head nailed to the floor was Stig O' Tracy. Rogers: I've been told Dinsdale Piranha nailed your head to the floor.Stig: No. Never. He was a smashing bloke. He used to buy his mother flowers and that. He was like a brother to me.Rogers: But the police have film of Dinsdale actually nailing your head to the floor.Stig: (pause) Oh yeah, he did that.Rogers: Why?Stig: Well he had to, didn't he? I mean there was nothing else he could do, be fair. I had transgressed the unwritten law.Rogers: What had you done?Stig: Er... well he didn't tell me that, but he gave me his word that it was the case, and that's good enough for me with old Dinsy. I mean, he didn't *want* to nail my head to the floor. I had to insist. He wanted to let me off. He'd do anything for you, Dinsdale would.Rogers: And you don't bear him a grudge?Stig: A grudge! Old Dinsy. He was a real darling.Rogers: I understand he also nailed your wife's head to a coffee table. Isn't that true Mrs O' Tracy?Mrs O' Tracy: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.Stig: Well he did do that, yeah. He was a hard man. Vicious but fair.

  13. Perhaps the ANSWER may be found here ................ http://middlelevelwatermensclub.com/Our_Club.html Quote :- The Middle Level Watermen’s club is based a few minutes walk from the centre of the historic town of March. A good shopping area and a market place that opens twice a week (Wed. & Sat.). By the town bridge there is a FREE pump-out & Elsan disposal station.
  14. Hi, I must have been having a 'Senior moment' when I posted the topic. They are in fact a FAMILY of FIVE.....plus dog. Regards, Patrick.
