Perhaps across the locks?  It's not far, and there's a vehicle parked there.

Oh, I hadn't noticed it but having spent a lot of time in the area I don't think there is a road there. Just paths.

There is what appears to be a footbridge with a car park at the end of it that goes over the weir stream. If you look at Google satellite image it is the opposite side to the locks

Yes but that seems further from the house.  I suppose you'd have to have CRT's permission to park by the locks, though.  What's that town in the background?

Edited to say that I had forgotten it was in the middle of Northwich. And the footbridge appears to be a swing bridge.

Northwich Dry Dock Company appear to be on the same island.

There is no vehicle access or parking at the locks. Just footpaths in both directions. There is (or was) parking in what was the C&RT yard which is across a footbridge across the river from the island but to get to it you would need to know the combination on the gate then walk round the dry dock.

Looking again, this appears to be a semi-detached property.  Nowhere does it state this in the description - indeed it implies that you would be living in splendid isolation, with only passing boats for company.  I think this is very misleading.  With nice neighbours, this would be ideal, but otherwise.....

Very handy for the dry dock, they normally start shouting once out on the river so shouldn't be too bad
