As someone thinks this was off topic when I first posted it, I will post again here.

 

Moan again, I think with justification.

Original message:

 

The white paddle of Lock 6 is leaking, causing water loss from the pound above.  Our local team will be carrying out a repair to the paddle on the 2nd June.  Work will commence at 11am and aiming to complete by 4pm. 

 

In order to facilitate use of the flight during the period, there will be restricted operating times of the lock–

 

Open 08:00 – 11:00

Closed 11:00 – 16:00

Open 16:00 – 19:00 (Last Boat in 18:15)

 

Please proceed with care and follow any advice on site.

Work will commence on 2nd of June, in the meantime we are restricted in use.

 

Why? Because they don't give  a damn about boaters? Seems so.

I think you think the restricted opening times apply from now until 2nd June, however I read it as applying only on 2nd June. You will note that the closed time between 11:00 and 16:00 match up with the restricted opening times posted. So I think you are off the mark on this one.

Original message: Lock 50 will be closed from 4pm to 8am daily, between Monday 27th September to Friday 1st October for gate replacement works. Our teams will replace the top end single gate. Please bear with us when works take place overnight, starting from 4pm. The navigation will reopen for boating customers at 8am each morning for the duration of the works. The towpath will remain open throughout.
