I note that the link is to ebay.us rather than ebay.co.uk

Take care that you don't create yourself a shipping problem :)

I can't tell you how tempting this is but my national only just fits im not convinced this will fit easy in a wooden josher! now if it was a k1 it wouldn't have got as far as eBay, i would have donated a national to get it.

it's still a very tempting buy though

Do you have any history of the engine prior to fitting in your boat i.e. do you know if it was ever exposed to salt water, or did it come direct from a compressor station or?

No idea whether it was exposed to sea water but I am led to believe it came from a lighthouse. It was installed in my boat around 2006 and has had very little use since then. I have run it for about 40 hours recently.

The exhaust manifold is from a lighthouse engine, there is something odd about the inlet manifold, extra holes in the top of it.

I met the previous owner of your new boat at braunston last year, he had exchanged the barge for a smaller cruiser because of the k2 and the lack of an interior. Needless to say he was broken down . Fixed his alternator for him and off he went on his way. Nice bloke. I think the barge beat him!!

I'm intrigued by the brass cylinder that looks like a stack of saucepans.  Is it part of the cooling system? Or an uninsulated calorifier?

By the way, I'm pretty sure that your K2 comes from a lighthouse.  The engine serial number is very close to the one in Owl,  which came from Langness.

Sounds very nice.

It was bought by Phil at R W Davis. Now I need to change the PRM7050D1 for something more suitable like a PRM150D2 for a BETA43. I'd be interested in a swap if you have one in good condition.
