  4. What sort of boat is this? If it is a cruiser style narrowboat the such rails are usually part of the initial construction. You would need a metal fabricator to make one bespoke to your boat. If it is a GRP cruiser it may be possible to buy one off the peg as these are bolted or screwed on. Pictures would help.
  5. Same engine as shown in this video?
  6. Thanks John. I'm guessing that the ballast was taken on when the train was of full pans and pumped out when the pans were light so that the level of the jebus matched the pans.
  7. So the numbers indicate the weight of ballast on board?
  8. I see in the old photo the jebus has numbers at the stem that look like load indicators. Did the jebus carry a load of coal then?
  9. You have writing on your dinner jacket??
  10. Would transporting the fridge on its side from place to place not have undone the settling caused by standing unused then?
  11. I thought it was new and the OP tells us that it had been on its side so it would need to be left and run empty.
  12. The Shoreline instructions say that it needs to be run empty for 6 hours. http://www.shoreline-marine.co.uk/admin/document_library/RRInstructions_BD35ONLY.v16_011211.pdf
  13. I mitre contributed but i can't cope
  14. No, No issue. With mine the output voltage of the alternator is above the value at which the MPPT controller goes to float but both sources will happily work together.
  15. This was publicised at the time. It was a few months ago. For a while the elsan was still usable. You are supposed to go round on to the B&F where there are facilities at Fazeley Mill Marina. I've never bothered.
  16. Well done. I hope that the rest of your trip is less....interesting. Get some antiseptic on those cuts.
  17. Are there any neighbours with tools who could help out? I have a sickle but it wouldn't cut a mattress.
  18. Yes. All of the ones previously mentioned and now the Claydon flight.
  19. Like you I don't believe it will. Each boat will take a lockful off the summit pound regardless of the time of day it travels. Restrictions could cause boats to bunch together and be more likely to share......but not on the Oxford.
  20. CRT say Due to exceptionally dry weather during the last three months, some of our canal feeding reservoirs are lower than we would normally expect for this time of year. The recent rainfall has not significantly changed this situation. As the dry weather is set to continue into the autumn, we are taking steps now to reduce water usage by closing the canal overnight. This will allow backpumps to circulate water more effectively around the canal network. So all about the backpumps then.
  21. Plus the rest at Napton and Hilmorton
