  1. Tamworth Cruising Club at the bottom of Glascote 2 sometimes have spaces but I think they are limited on length.
  2. How about Baddesley in Atherstone itself? Probably difficult to get a space though. Or the on line moorings at the bottom of the locks towards Grendon?
  3. I don't have one either but the boss where one could be fitted is there. You might have to look for it depending on which way the calorifier is fitted e.g it could be at the bottom of a horizontal calorifier. Think about a way to prevent the inverter from powering the immersion to save your batteries if it is switched on when you are not plugged in to shore power.
  4. You don't have an immersion heater in the calorifier then? That would see off the units remaining and give you hot water.
  5. Best put it in the oven then but remember to take it off first. My grandad dropped his hearing aid in the toilet once then put it in the oven to dry. It didn't do the plastic any good at all. Good job there were no pies in with it.
  6. Well there's the Oxford pound and the Coventry pound so spoilt for choice.☺️
  7. You can find a good selection at pound shops. A selection of about 20 for your quid.
  8. You would need a big enough inverter to run the heating element. This comes back to Alan De Enfield's earlier post.

    JP/JK pulley

I wonder if adhesive technology has come on enough to be able to cut then rejoin the belt?
  10. Alan is here alluding to the fact that new washers and other things that have electronics controlling them do not take kindly to modified sine wave inverters. If your Stirling is sold as pure sine wave you should be OK but there are no guarantees. This is because the heater uses a lot of power. You can arrange for the machine to run with warmed water from the calorifier by using a mixer valve in the cold feed or as suggested earlier pour hot into the soap tray. Method 1 means that you cannot do cold rinses but this has not been an issue for me.
  11. but some taps do have filters where the water goes in as well
  12. You weren't thinking of using a full jar for Bizz's wheeze surely? That would never work. Maybe puffer fish might
  13. You could use one of the mini jam jars instead.

  15. This is probably the most discussed topic on here and is crucial. Have a look here:

  19. I don't recall a Barney that was not trad. The lowest guard iron at the bow looks a bit Joey like.
  20. So hopefully they will exchange for the correct one despite you having fitted it.
  21. It's not getting the flue clean that is the issue - quite the reverse. All of the muck disloged from the flue ends up on top of the boiler where it is hard to remove. Apparrently they used a method similar to your branch to clean Blisworth tunnel. The museum has photos of a boat loaded up with branches which was towed through to clean of the soot from the steam tugs.
  22. We must be sure to keep our vaccinations up to date. Do squirrels carry rabies?
  23. Was yours a Jabsco and if so was it clearly marked for voltage? I would expect it to be marked and for the OP to have seen this hence my reluctance to ask the question.
