  1. How about the G&S with the charity boats at Saul Junction Home | The Willow Trust
  2. Vacuum breakers are normally just a vent with maybe a float to close them off, nothing powered
  3. O look another new member, lets make him feel welcome
  4. I have used MDF on my ceiling and bits that have laid around in the yard outside look to be a lot more stable than ply, but I only fitted it 25 years ago so its not had much of a test yet. The only problem I have found is if you want to fix anything to it .
  5. I think we are talking topsides, not hull, I don't think you would employ a boat painter to put black on . Maybe the OP can confirm.

  7. Some are already on their way via the MSC
  8. They were also used in refineries, Shell had some
  9. Just remember the price they wanted for the boat from there when the Eastern European Lady wanted to sell it
  10. I go along with that, The one I posted the photo of was near the bow, it was a drain line for the tug deck and when working up locks it had quite a bit of water over it
  11. Flag staff, IWA, AWCC and Club flags
  12. Well its not long to find out
  13. Its an interesting location with no access as far as I can see.
  14. Same with my phone, I thought the phone was broken first time I let the battery go to flat
  15. In my case I went found it with sealant when I found it but it was the good coating of Sprayfoam om the inside that held it and kept things watertight
  16. @Tracy D'arth has away of doing it without a pressure gauge
  17. I don't think so, 18 tons pushing the fitting at 3 mph against the edge of a heavy duty( I don't know the name) steel pile something is going to give
  18. I have had two shear off when they have caught protruding steel work, thankfully not at the water line or below, This one was quite close down and I changed it out while in drydock
  19. A bit like the discount for an electric boat with a big diesel outboard that use to be moored there
  20. I went out to eat in Birmingham and they added12.5% to the bill as an entertainment surcharge, It would have been nice to have known that before I booked the table
