  1. But did he deploy proper fenders when mooring up to the offending landing 😁
  2. I think Mr Ho as been off fendered 😁
  3. Could be a can of worms 😁
  4. I should have put a smiley face after the engineer comment. Will have to clock off now as my domestic engineer (wife) has my bacon and eggs ready 🥓😁
  5. And a lot more water to boat on atm. The muddy ditches are just that atm in places. Not much chance of getting back to our mooring for the second year running 😕 but I'm not worried I'm still able to go boating 😁
  6. Still can be a bit tricky if they was a bit of a flow on. Even for a cruiser. Would have been a better job just to cut the extra length of before punt the horizontal timber on surely.
  7. A friend has just sent me a picture of the moorings at Staines on the Thames. He's now patching up his paintwork. I can't believe whoever did this landing stage was a engineer unless he had something to do with Ben Hurrs competiters chariots 😭
  8. Exactly this. All my outlets have sea cocks fitted.
  9. Horse and Jockey for beer and great cobs and warm samosas 🍻😁

  12. Having been on the cruise I would say it's been a privilege and a pleasure. Your dedication and time to organise a this is much appreciated. I would like to thank everyone involved and would recommend going with your club anyone who would like to do the tidal Thames. We have done many tidal cruises without being organised. But thought the tidal Thames needed the best local knowledge to enjoy safely. The information supplied was very good. Simon worked his socks off as it was just the run of the mill. If you want the best experience of the Thames I would highly recommend St Pancras cruising clubs cruises. Just typed this as chilling in the Masons Teddington 😍😍👍

  14. Yes but is it well balanced 😁
  15. I think the title of this thread should be changed to Ak47 and let this boy's have a shoot out. 😉
  16. There are lots of temp beam fixes on this stretch. Going to be a costly job to replace all the temporary fixes at some point. Maybe they will fill them with concrete to get a few more years out of them 🤣
  17. 2 hrs from start to finish the replacement beam with the skeleton frame. On lock 43 on the grand union. Took longer to get the van and materials and tools to the job. Well done CRT. The number of locks on this stretch with this temp fix is quite considrible.
  18. Maybe we should start a new thread. Show us your scuffs. Think I'll be in the top ten. But I do get about a bit boating 😁 not painting 👍
  19. Just done a bit of pruning of the offside vegetation so we could get passed. Still managed to see over the trimmings on the roof, just.
  20. Well I've done a bit of plough dredging today. Moored up 2 foot from the bank at cosgrove. 😁
  21. No strings attached 😁👍
