hi folks when we had the horses. of to the tack shop to buy all the best so called best stuff on the market .to treat them for all insect bites.then a friend of ours from australia.came to stay with us ..and told us we were wasting lots of money.and over the summer that use to mount up ...what.. you need is this .....boil 2 pints of water .add tablespoon of citroneela oil ..tablespoon of eucalyptus oil ..tablespoon of parafin leave to go cold ..transfer it into spray bottles ..bobs ya uncle ..worked great for the nags ...worked even better on humans . still spray it on my arms and legs .i dont mind the smell .sooner put up with that .then them gleg and horse fly bites

no you were not out of order .in any way ...to be honest you will come across.much worse then that ...at times

i have even got shouted at even when i was in tick over ...and crawling ...some people spend there day just doing the shouting thing ...they think they own the canal lol it amazes me at times

yes furnessvale .how right you are ...thats exactly what happenend to a friend of mine ..oil from the sunday roast very nasty. and yes i always go in tick over .now if you had asked do .or as anyone stayed over the permitted time at a mooring ...yes i have on more then a few times

last year i came of the river 7 at stourport ...got in stourport basin ...then howling winds started ..god did i have a job on my hands ...i took 5 guys to pull me in so i could moor up ...dont now how i would have coped if i had still been on the river ...i have been boating some years now ...but never had that happen before. if you are in no rush ...stay put ...i would

hi john .welcome ..i have done the seven many times stourport to worcester...and found it to be very nice ...like bga said take notice of the boards and only go when green ...it just a matter of common sense really....as you will not be use too river locks ...dont worry the lock keppers will sort you out and they will tell you what to do ..like you i remember when i first done the seven ...i fretted and worried ...but too be honest there was now need to ...to be honest i found it a bit boring ...but it has to be done ...prefare the canals .enjoy h

i have always helped out with locks ...but now i ask if they need help.once i helped this couple. as they looked if they could do with it ...they were no spring chickens it was lashing down with rain .very muddy it was a awful day ...as i walked to the lock to help ..WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING SHE SHOUTED ..WE BROUGHT A NARROWBOAT .SO WE COULD DO THE LOCKS AND WE DONT WANT YOUR HELP...NOW GO AWAY AND MIND YOUR OWN BIZZ....still cursing and swearing as they got on with doing the lock .walking back to my boat ..i happened .to look back ..there he was pulling her out of canal ....i was that upset to there reaction ..of my offer to help ...i never even asked if she was ok ...and went about my own bizz

hi folks yes osprey mini..from ee ...the gremlins visit some times ...but imo..its the best on the market ..and like you i use mine for emails ..have done some downloads but not too much ...if you go the ee route dont except the first. second . deal they offer ..good luck

why is it. other boaters .worry about other boaters .is it becuse they got nothing better to do ..if you cant not moor up becuse some other boat is there ..tuff move on ...if they are legal and within permitted mooring times .. but i surpose some people feel better when they have had a moan
