  1. How did I not see these??? Fantastic. I would but I'm looking to get them as soon as possible as I'm painting my roof and need a way to stop the solar panel from being blown around and scratching the new paint I've bought some now, thank you for your help!
  2. I am no good with metal work, if someone wants to make them for me I'd be happy to purchase them!
  3. Hey, does anyone know where to buy these? I've found one website but at £75 I'm hoping to find somewhere cheaper.
  4. Whilst I do love a good conversation about composting, has anyone got any actual photos of their Airhead installation? I know I asked about Seperatt but I've now decided to go with the Airhead.
  5. Furness Vale doesn't have residential moorings
  6. Thanks Captain but it's a bit too far out for us. We tried Lyme View and they do have spaces but it also seems a bit of a way out, and a bit "holiday park" if that makes sense. The spot is absolutely beautiful though. I've tried everywhere else around and they're full up.
  7. Anyone know the cheapest place to buy an Airhead?
  8. Couldn't agree more NMEA, This is the reason I've decided to go for the airhead. It's made for boaters in mind and installation looks simple enough to fit myself. The size is also a benefit, we have a tiny wetroom and the Separett is rather large. I think we will be ordering this some time this week so I'll keep you all updated as I go!
  9. Hi all, I'm looking at buying a separett composting toilet but it doesn't have a liquid/urine tank. Can anyone give me an idea of what they did or preferably pictures of their installation? Personally I think it's a better toilet than the Airhead due to having a better liquid division wall, removable compost bucket and cleaner venting system but I might have to go with an Airhead due to the size difference, and they're both great so if anyone has any installation pictures that would be great too and any "fors/againsts" would be perfect. Thanks in advance!
  10. We've spoken to Captain Jack but unfortunately they don't have the services we need (Elsan etc). New Mills Marina is also full up. Definitely a bad time of year to be looking!
  11. Thanks for your help all. I will keep an eye on it and report here if it didn't work properly. At least I know what to try next if it doesn't work
  12. It's too hot to argue, I had no intention of saying you were incorrect, I must have mis read the comment. Yes I now get you mean they would set up the pump correctly and it should be lined up to the marker. After ringing my local mechanic (who is well trusted and respected) he mentioned to at least try turning the pump to see if it helped. I turned it anti clockwise and it definitely got worse, put it to the marker and still lumpy and a fair amount of smoke and I turned it clockwise and the smoking stopped and sounded very sweet. I tightened everything up and left it running and it's not spluttering or shaking anymore. GRANTED the engine has now warmed up but it still spluttered when I'm neutral at idle. I'm going to wait for it to cool down and see if it has helped with a cold start. Video to how it runs now: https://youtu.be/NcKVx7K3jes
  13. When did I imply I don't know what either of you are on about? I think you need to chill on the defensive. I'm asking advice and am giving you all the detail I know so you can correct/advise me. No need to be like that. This is what I've done, I have no idea how to check the timing gear/chain/tensioner so I'll call someone out. I was just asking to try and save some money.
  14. The pump was sent off to be reconditioned and was fitted afterwards by a different mechanic so they didn't calibrate it to the engine.
  15. It's lines up with the pointer but I've been told it won't matter if it's lined up to that after reconditioning a pump. I've also been told they used to sell tools for this exact problem but they aren't available any more.
