  2. Hi have used planner loads of times no problem and really like it.But on my last vist when looking at a virtual route l was planning the map and location picture would not change.The wriitten location did but not pics/map.l am using a imac never had this problem before.Any ideals ? 14skipper

  6. Was moored just up from this boat in july,owner was to be seen painting deck fittings etc.Trouble was there were several planks missing on the stern and hull was open to anything thrown at it. 14skipper
  7. I get the impression from some that because the owners of bwml are owned by a charitable trust, that this somehow means they should be more charitable to their moorers. Why should they be ? they are a business arm of the trust and are there to make a profit. 14skipper

  14. Just watched on iplayer.not a friend of barby but even l would question a fuel bill of £300 to go 100 miles ! 14skipper
  15. walked along seven a few minutes ago red light was on l,would not want my boat on it and would think twice about going on one with a pilot.
  16. Not a pub but found the fish and chip shop Bizzie Lizzie's in skipton really good the best we ever had. we eat in and had a takeaway .Cost twice as much to eat in but the raspberry ice cream dessert is to die for. 14Skipper

  18. the belief by some that a heavy berry crop is a sign of a long hard winter and having seen the berry crop this year i.e blackberries ,elder ,sloes etc.think l will go into hibernation ! 14skipper
  19. have done over 600 miles this year 300 plus locks,had help doing the ribble link as expected.did wigan flight both ways by ourselves (we are well into our 60s) did not plan trip around there being someone to help us.if they were there and wanted to help then fair enough if not then again fair enough.saw V keepers working at several locations ( painting tidying etc ) did not expect them to help us. 14skipper
  20. have had five asda deliveries in the last five months whilst cruising.they were really good.just googled location or used canal planner for postcode. when web site asks for postcode and tries to find address just put use the none of these options and put in your own location.l always gave instructions i.e green narrowboat moored by bridge next to car park driver to ring on near arrival.or something along those lines and never had a problem always arrived on time .tesco were bloody useless at accepting address,s that were not the norm. 14 skipper

  23. Also did flight two weeks ago,went up in a 60ft.just myself on tiller and wife on the locks.it was hard work.did it in 6 hours.so how do cart expect me to come back down it in four hours.nothing to do with rushing.just not doable in time allowed. 14skipper
  24. As l will have been waiting ten days on burnley for blackburn locks to open l am getting a bit keen to move ! 14 skipper
