  1. Perhaps he dose not shower as much as you.
  2. That makes sense, I will have a go when I go to the boat next, the add does not show the contacts I asked the seller.
  3. That's the problem I don't have an A1 terminal on my after market timer, only power and control terminals.
  4. There are only 3 wires red, black and brown so one must be to power it from the batteries and the others to switch the heater on and off but I just want to know what ones do what, I thought NMEA might be along to advise,
  5. No it worked ok up until last year, I have just ordered an after market one that only has 2 terminals a switching one and 12v power one, but not sure what wires go where.
  6. Mine came from Poland, a Danfoss copy £150 delivered.
  7. I did what cuthound said, bought a new mains fridge freezer then bought a 12v compressor ang got a fridge man to fit and recharge, worked out less than half of the ready made ones and works great, the other thing you need is a 12v bulb, I forgot that doh.
  8. He still has but cant work out why his ecofan wont work on it.
  9. we have an ecofan and an aldi one and if you put both on top of stove together facing away from each other the eco starts about 10 seconds faster than the cheapo and stops about 30 seconds after the cheapo when stove cools but when both at full speed they blow the same if you hold string in front of them.
  10. Yes it is and we have the manual but cant seem to get it working, screen is just blue and cant read anything on it.
  11. Hi all, I was wondering if I could use a small domestic central heating programmer to replace my webasto one that wont work now and has always been troublesome, they only use 3 wires so does anyone know how to wire one in, just need it to come on twice a day for a couple of hours and an override function, I have a frost stat fitted but not sure its working now. Neil.
  12. There use to be a webasto agent on here that fitted mine a few years ago but not seen him on here lately.
  13. I will look at mine and report back if I find it.
  14. Lpg gennie is worth considering.
  15. I did mine with 50mm celotex stuck to the steel then taped all joints with foil tape then an air gap before the ply lining, to the op please don't use mdf anywhere on your boat as when it gets damp it will swell up, I know it's more money but use wbp ply. Ps my boat keeps its best a long while after the fire goes out with little condensation.
  16. The gearbox looks like an old dumper box the lever on the right is the clutch and the center one would be 3 or 4 forward gears and a reverse. It could work if you find out what hear gives the best ratio. Neil
  17. If it's an ex hire boat a lot will comply, but will still need insurance and licence. Neil
  18. Have you checked water level in the last 2 years if open cell, if not they could be dry and if so new batteries will probably be needed. Neil
  19. buy 2 so you can support the boards at both ends, they are the ones I have but be careful as the plastic ends snap off if you put too much pressure on them, I broke both mine but tool station replaced no problem. Neil
  20. Acroprops are a bit heavy duty for this sort of work, what I used are light weight plaster board props that you adjust with a one handed ratchet trigger, really cheap from tool station. Neil
  21. yes normal primer is porous, use 2 pack primer or even a coat of hammerite. Neil
  22. There was a stainless steel shell for sale about 5 years ago before I bought my shell, it was about twice the price but in hind sight I wished I had bought it. Neil
  23. Hi all, I have just had my boat repainted with craftmaster paint as the last paint was jotun that was ruined by bird poo eating into it, she now looks stunning, but was horrified to find the paint lifting and looking like crazy paving under the poo when I washed it off, I can only go to the boat once a week so was wondering if there is a product that will really protect it, I was told by my painter to use Boora Permaseal 10 year Ptfe sealant. can anyone recommend this or any other please. Neil.
  24. Bettisfield boats got a mention earlier, we went with them several years ago and had a great week, they are a very nice couple with reasonable prices, the boats are small between 35 and 38 foot if I remember so much be a bit tight for 4, but on the plus side you can turn round anywhere the canal widens. Neil
  25. A big dog is the best alarm, if not you can get dog barking alarms activated by pirs. Neil
