Our first real problem....

Out of interest what make is the macerator? mine has handled quilted fine in the past. The only thing that blocked it was the 'ring out and reuse' style kitchen roll.

This is it in all it's resplendent glory...

Ladies and gentleman I give you our Marin Macerator loo…..(Which by now should be in a skip at the back of Aqua Narrowboats….)

Do you collect it into those handy metal bins that the kids empty and chuck at each other on the way home from school?

No, but it's me that empties the bin if full when I get there. Have to have somewhere to put it. Can't leave it lying around.

I cant believe youve traded that in for a potti for adultsbit of plastic. Should of sold it on at least. If you ok with suitcases of sh!t then washing that out shouldve been a breeze.

At last, somebody has seen the light!

Ahhh, heavy sarcasm is too subtle for you Dave.

We have two pump-out toilets on our private boat that we find very satisfactory indeed, both as a user and as the emptier of the tank. I have no desire to swap them for cassette toilets as I don't want to carry human waste around as I find that idea, together with having to come into close contact with the waste when pouring it away, distasteful. In addition to this I'm concerned about further injuring my back carrying full cassettes around.

You are entitled to your opinion and to make as much mischief as you want.

Oh yes it looks beautiful - appearences can be very deceptive trust me - Oh and are you really suggesting that unblocking the thing 2 or 3 times per day is the same as emptying the cassette every couple of days????

and as for selling it on - there is likley to be an issue with it so why would I want to inflict the problems on anybody else??

That just shouldnt happen! If thats true i can understand your disappointment with PO.

There is obviously a problem with the installation not the technology.

A none issue in my personal situation because I don't mind using the marina self pump out machine (found it quite fun - actually I shall actually miss it) nor do I mind lugging a case of poo about and emptying it.

As I seem to remember your background is in nursing, it must feel like a home from home, I'd have thought!

Indeed - and Sanisbury's basics was brilliant with the macerator.

Do I take it Sainsburys have merged with Lee Sanitation now ?

It is and as I think I said in the thread somewhere - have as a result seen and smelt things a lot worse than some human waste emulsified in toilet blue....

I do however object to it leaking out in the night under me bed....

Aaah that explains why their loo paper was so good....

anyway will you please stop messing about in here and get checking your inbox - you've got mail!

Just sometimes?

I'd say sometimes was about right. If everything that everyone said here was perfectly clear and unambiguous, what would be the fun in that.

Did you hear about the man who went into a pub and asked the barmaid for a double entendre , so she gave him one?

Doesn't work if he asked for an adianoeta does it?

Richard

He'd probably end up with a throat operation (fnarf, fnarf)

The loo paper is hanging down the wrong side. It should be on the outside.
