Grassman
In my job I used to go into people's homes and so many had a conker in the corners of each room that I thought there must be something in it. So I tried some on our boat and it worked. Initially far less spiders, but I have found that as the conkers gradually dry out they become less effective. Carrie
Once the paraffin lamp and candles are lit, spiders start abseiling down from the ceiling or curtains. It used to freak me out but I must have grown used to them as I no longer leap off my seat!
pquinn
I hate the waking up at 1.30 in the morning to go for a wee to walk into and face plant all the cobwebs. Get yourself a box set of the wire or something and that wont be a problem.
Scholar Gypsy
We visited here during a recent holiday in Pembroksehire. http://www.grubkitchen.co.uk/ When I say visited, we bottled out of actually sampling the menu. I am sure they would have some ideas what to do with your spider harvest. Personally, I rather like the way they reduce our moth population on the boat. Bill
And another thing, flies as well, they get splattered and make a mess in the roller blinds of the galley windows.. Other than that, its housekeeping. I quite like the occasional fly or mozzie in the boat, I have one of those electronic tennis bats to zap them with . Only trouble is that if a lot get inside the smell of burning insect can get a bit overpowering.
magictime
I think "Spider Ex" spray has been mentioned in past threads as doing the job for some people.
hillbilly
This is our first year off boat ownership and I'm supprised how many spiders like to freeload and come on board to live. They is everywhere. Have you got any secret lotions and potions to keep them at bay. Or do you just live with them. Hi, buy a spray called Spider Stop available online (ebay) and some Chandlers. It works. We use it on our boat.

Guest
We live with them. In many ways, it's their boat that we just borrow from time to time Richard Indeed!
spadefoot
Learning to live with them is a lot easier than trying to get rid of them.
