Hi, buy a spray called Spider Stop available online (ebay) and some Chandlers. It works. We use it on our boat.

We once asked on here if anyone had seen our old boat which we sold 3 years ago. No money owing, in fact the people we sold it to in 2013 sold it on 6 months later to some Americans We would love dearly to see the old boat again , just to see it as it is sorely missed. We have a touring caravan now and often go to a canalside site with the hope it would cruise by which would be very unlikely!!! We are again going to a site near Napton Junction in August, but it would be a miracle if it cruised by. No one on here will give you any information in case there is an ulterior motive. If any helpful person sees Dobie Jade maybe they could give the owner my email address (as in my profile). We only want to see the boat, the owners won't even know we have walked by.

Were you at Carnforth on the Lancs canal in July this year? A man showed us over his boat (Steelaway - bought from Bridge Marina). We were thinking about getting a boat and he spent time telling about it and showing us.

Not interested in a sailaway. Would like a ready to move on to liveaboard around March next year. 57ft semi or cruiser around the 50K-56K mark. Park Home is currently up for sale and hope to sell it before I retire in Feb. Anyone hears of anything maybe you could let me know. Already have a residential mooring reserved. Can't wait.

Hi, at end of Feb 2010 we will be looking for a perfect liveaboard narrowboat about 4 or 5 years old. Is anyone out there liking to be selling up about that time? If you are we would like to hear from you. Must have a decent size engine. Semi or Cruiser.

At Mercia you have to have you rpost redirected to the local post office and the man from the shop at the Marina will collect it for you for £5 per month. We don't live there but went into it in detail when we were looking for a marina. Have now found a residential marina on the T&M with post deliveries.

Hi all, can I ask if you think it a good idea to have a dehumidifier on the narrowboat? I know circulation and ventilation are all important but just wondered whether to take the dehumidifer when we move onto the boat or should it be amongst the items being left behind. What do you think?

Hi all, would like to check keys needed for canals and rivers. We are about to get our liveaboard boat and have got lock key, British Waterways Key, and Pump out key. Wondered what key it is that will be needed for Swing Bridges (i.e. Leeds and Liverpool betwen Skipton and Leeds). Is it the standard British Waterways key or is it another one. When we hired a boat we were given a yale type key for these bridges but just realised we didn't ask them if it was a British Waterways key or other. Can anyone hlep?

Have a vodafone K3565 dongle for broadband, I know this has most probably been asked before but what do you do to boost the signal on a boat? I have read about antenna to plug into areial socket on dongle. Don't seem to have one of those, just a place for a micro SD card. Help please.
