Within an hour from Thrapston.

GU.

To the south MK and surrounding area.

To the north Braunston and surrounding area.

Anything within Northamptonshire between those areas.

All of the Great Ouse from Bedford to Denver including most of the tributaries.

Market Harborough and Leicester.

Sawley and Shadlow are getting on to the limits of your hour.

You should factor in docking space. Billing has space and is cheap for the area. However, For a boat like the Progress I would recommend somewhere like Alvecote or Langley Mill where there is docks and people who understand wooden boats.

Regards

Dan

Have you considered the very pretty Ashby Canal? It has two major marinas, at Hinckley (which the AA reckons is 57 minutes from you) and Market Bosworth (1 hour 11 minutes) plus some smaller ones.

I read it as being by water, on the Nene
