W+T
Ok here goes work from the last update. And Rach, there is no chance i will jack in with this boat, i do some daft things but heck no I keep looking for my next big un Found one but it is on the IOW a nice Senior 32 shell. I decided against it though in the end. Soooooo I decided to faff about with the electrics, only sorting the battery cables out as i need more supplies as i have spent all the boat funds until next pay day. I wasnt up fr spending on a big crimp tool for the 25mm cable so i made one that has done the job. I used a length of ally bar and drilled then cut it out to take the tube terminals. And for the crimper i used a spare door handle bar and rounded it off and and with a few good thumps wiht a lump hammer all good. Then a length of adhesive shrink tube to seal it all. That was that for now there, a said i need more terminal connectors and decided on better battery terminals aswell. All will be got again for 12v Planet. At last i have fitted the last panel on the bow locker. This here is the radio box for the 2 DIN radio that i mite get myself for xmas for it. I have found this Kenwood one that i like. Also for a 12v/USB sockets below it. Although i would prefer one with remote aswell. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KENWOOD-DPX-7000DAB-2-DIN-CAR-VAN-CD-Aux-USB-iPod-DAB-Bluetooth-Stereo-Aerial-/351493227193?hash=item51d6a102b9:g:hmgAAOSwjXRXa7Kc I just stapled the ply together then glued the trim on, i ran out of Hockey stick again though but you get the idea. Lets see how good the Gorilla glue is hey In situ`ish It is going to have small shelves either side aswell with the either side being netted storage. In this pic you will see that i have fitted some vent in the seat, i got a load from China a few weeks ago, no rush and at £1.30 for 10 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-Pcs-43mm-Diameter-Hardware-Stainless-Steel-Round-Air-Vent-Louver-FK/331805468580?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648 I made a draw and cant decide if i like it now lol. I started to panel around the loo, sorry Heads bud decided for maybe in the futre i will need more wiring from for fuse bow to soem wher so i fitted a length of 15mm pipe through the frame work so i can thread new wiring to the cupboard area. Inside the cupboard And it goes along the top into the electrics area. Ea by eck now i see i have done more than i thought Galley end storage shelves done. And to finish i hung the two cupboard doors. Lazy and used surface hinges but look ok. Thats about it for now, will be ordering the rest of the electrics next week and a few more bits, lost my shopping list some where on the boat in all the mess. Need to look out for a nice slab of teak for the galley work top. Generally if i dont rush i find a bargain and save a few quid which i like to do. I can get an ols school worktop and clean it back but thats £100, still if needs be that will be fine. I am getting some Formica or Melamine from here for the galley splash back and cupboard front. They have something in that lot i am sure. Still it deciding which to go for. https://www.lawcris.co.uk/ So not give, never in this world, enjoying it to much :):)

Thanks Rach, always doing something, not a week goes by i dont get something done Dont l have time to waste. I should of just fitted these in the beginning as i wasnt all that keen on the surface hinges. I found these on some old caravan doors i have in the shed from years ago when i ripped out a caravan for a mate. I need to batten out the inside of the doors the same as the frame for the hings to screw to.I was going to wait until i have lined and mite still yet, helps if i do wait as it will it easier get a better finish and easier than cutting the Vermiculite around the battens inside the doors. I have started to line the galley storage but first i had to laminate around the bottom of the water tank to hold it in place. 10 min job. Then as that was setting i got on with the radio box/shelf. A couple of battens and a shelf of the Sapele veneer on top with the Sapele Hockey stick trim. And hey ho I have ordered the rest of the electrical gubbins along with some Wago211 connectors so i can then finish the radio/lights wiring in the radio box. Wish i knew about the Wago befor ei splashed out on busbars. A little earlier i collect these timber planks for the galley worktop, i didnt want to go with a kitchen worktop and a veneered ply top so i waited out for a good deal and got these, i need to give them a good and etc but they are very nice slabs of timber of unkown as yet type. I sanded it back a little and i doo likey :), looked great when wetted out

W+T
What a week it has been with work not going to plan to get home early enough to get bits done and then the weather this weekend not being kind. As it goes though i got some done and happy with it all.First off i got on with the galley cupboard/s and is ready for the laminate once we go and choose which we want, not going to be easy as there are hundreds of patterns to chose from, Oh yes, as i am typing i just remembered that i need to work out the fuse sizes i need and that i also need to measure up for the stainless steel for the over surround and splash back.Always something i forget to do. A few days ago the rest of the electrical gubbins arrived, all done now but for choosing the lights.......i think. image: https://s5.postimg.org/7qppyl1fb/tn_20170930_094753.jpg These re great bits of kit, WAGO`s, so easy to fit and great for small places. image: https://s5.postimg.org/x9i2bl5jr/tn_20170930_094819.jpg half a dozen of inline fuse holders for the radio and USB etc etc image: https://s5.postimg.org/u3xgl7ulj/tn_20171005_181439.jpg This was a reat old faff about but all done but for the fuses. I have done the dash switch board also during the week but no pic, hey it just a bunch of wires anyway.Main fuse box image: https://s5.postimg.org/4xwieeo6f/tn_20171008_130908.jpg image: https://s5.postimg.org/c14dtz3vr/tn_20171008_130851.jpg I needed another fuse box for the Malaga and Propex along with the TV and USB ports. I decided to fit it up at the top in the cupboard in its own little box. A few off cuts of 6mm ply that i had in the scrap box. image: https://s5.postimg.org/wy0lyozcn/tn_20171008_133003.jpg I has been known that i am a bit heavy handed so i put a small stopper to the lower right of the fuse box so when it swings back i dont overdo the hinges and rip it off, it has been know before now lol.I need some larger spiral wrap for the wires but thats an easy anytime job to do. image: https://s5.postimg.org/ietgxatd3/tn_20171008_132730.jpg That is about it for the electrics, good enough, could be a bit tidier but then i am no sparky. Now then the Iroko, yes it is Iroko that i got the for the galley, Bloody hard to sand as we spent ( yes WE, i got T to do a little while i was on he boat today finishing the electrics ) a good few hours sanding it down. There are a few marks on it but nothing serious, T likes them as she says it gives it character, not sure myself.I started with e Air DA as this is quicker than the Palm sander i have but soon runs out of puff so to give the tanks time to build ip i swapped to that Palm sander.First hour, a cracking grain shows up, shame the planks used are such a different grain but colour up the same. image: https://s5.postimg.org/teeo8vh7b/tn_20171007_163131.jpg Here we have a split which i plan to add a little glue and clamp, it is a little loose as you can just see a little movement. Still no bad thing as it will be not really seen much. image: https://s5.postimg.org/6pph9as3r/tn_20171007_163144.jpg These are the marks that show up, this is when i wiped it down with a damp rag. image: https://s5.postimg.org/n0pl5o21j/tn_20171008_163143.jpg image: https://s5.postimg.org/r9ub7ud0n/tn_20171008_163205.jpg I like image: https://s5.postimg.org/72gvfkaef/tn_20171008_163235.jpg image: https://s5.postimg.org/sovvwjyo7/tn_20171008_163140.jpg During the week i changed the hinges on the cupboards to flush hinges, didnt like the surface ones i first fitted, The handle are now finger hole as i couldnt find any handles that i lied and i didnt want the type that stuck out.Plan is to get some hardwood knobs and drill them out and make grommets for the finger holes to trim them off nicely.Cant think of anything else that has been done at the minute but if there is anything else its only the little finishing touches etc.Next episode should be the laminate for the galley and splash back for the cooker along with doors. That i am looking forward to doing and seeing

W+T
Very little done as work is slowly killing me and to tired to do much in the last week or so. Still lets see whats been done.Lets see then I made a panel to cover the rear of the main fuse box and also the water level indicator. This is removable just incase i need access.Just a panel of 4mm Sapele veneer so as to match the rest of the heads/cupboard.Water level indicator window, i still need to make a backing for behind the tube. For a while i was wanting to use a laminate the galley splash back around the window and cupboards but after much debate as what to go with i/we decided to just continue the Sapele veneer. I managed to do a little around the window but thats it as i need to order another sheet for the rest and more Hockey stick for the trim around the window.Oh yes, a few things i got arrived the other day aswell. Love the helm wheel and the horns are full SS, most are plastic and SS and as i am picky i got these second hand for a good price. To make the risers around the cooker i needed to rip down a 105mmx27mm length of Iroko, and me being me i thought i may aswell by a table saw, cheap mind you. So then i can do that and make the light holders for the cabin And not to forget a cabin step out of Iroko also if i have enough left, i could of gone to a joiners and ask then to do it but for what i paid for the saw why do that. I had to make a stand for it too.Only thing i needed to do was get a new blade for it and as it has a small 1/2hp motor it just did it with a steady feed through. Although it has done the job i have removed a 3hp 2800rpm motor from one of my compressors to use. Just make things that bit easier. Only thing to do is get a new pulley as the one it is fitted with has a 5/8 ( 15.87mm ) spindle and the new motor is 19mm. This is the finished cut of the risers.Lovely grain i thinkThis the sections for the light holdersI couldnt decide how to have the risers until T made a comment that they need to be low enough for the pans to sit on the hob. I stated with these. way to high. Then down to this after a much faffing about. These will be covered on the inner side in brushed SS and go up the back to the light above. Now then, cabin light holders. I made these as the lights i got are not easy to remove once fitted in place due to the grips they have. These holders will be screwed in palce then i can remove them to remove the lights if needed. I got 60mm fitting lights so if i ant to replace them i can easy find a new set. These are cheap lights at £26 a set of eight. May not last long but still we will see.Started with a large hole saw a went through at the lowest speed the pillar drill can which is 500rpm and only halfway as the pilot hole will be used next for the 60mm hole. OOpps i forgot the 60mm drill pics but you get the drift. To clean them back i fitted a flap sander to the pillar drill and moved the bed up close to it so then i had this to ease the job.Near finished product.I wanted a larger diameter holder by another 12mm but that was the largest hole saw i had therefore i need to make three little seats for mounting screws in the edges at a 45 deg angle. In the last few days besides the cabin big lights arrival also came the cupboard lights and door switches which i will fit asap. I cant decide on what eyeball light to get so here i think i will go with one of the cabin lights and get a seperate switch for it. Above the worktop there will be a small LED strip. Infact these are what i have got. So one in each cupboard and one above the galley. And the berth lights that arrived.Thats about it for now. Think i will have a go and see how the helm wheel fits this week, ah its dark after work, mite have to fettle a light on the deck now lol.

Thanks kida, bit by bit and sort of on time Sorry to say that very little has been done, not been in the mood with this and that but chin up lad and all. There are so many bits of wiring to be done i managed to get around to actually wire up the pump out to the dash, that is the drain system pump out for when the boat is left for longer periods etc, it drains all the water system with the Gulper 220, i will get this plumbed into the shower drain also when i get to that point. Yesterday i finished the Big Light surrounds. I used small picture hanging brackets, shame they are brass effect as i wanted silver, i could polish them up as they are only coated, bit anal maybe lol. image: https://s5.postimg.org/mw2vg46fr/tn_20171111_114437.jpg image: https://s5.postimg.org/mw2vg4lvb/tn_20171111_114938.jpg image: https://s5.postimg.org/92eir30zr/tn_20171111_114956.jpg image: https://s5.postimg.org/lh1ardi7b/tn_20171111_125622.jpg To wire them up i used the Waco block again so then in the future when they need to be replaced it is an easy removal now, Just unscrew the surround then unclip the wires. The blocks are so small they tuck nice up away above the ply lining. I cant believe how hard it was to find screws 10mmx2.5mm. In the end i found some but 3/8 x 2mm being sold at the local DIY shop, yes a mix of metric and imperial, never seen that before. Thing is they were 40p for ten, yes not a deal breaker as i only needed 24 off. A box of 200 12mmx 3mm are 99p. Once i fitted then i fitted the berth lights aswell. Then just waited untill it was dark to try them out properlyThese lights feel light cold not warm for some reason, i ordered warm. Still good enough for the cheap tat they are. I have a feeling they wont last long. Already the wires fell out of two of them where the soldered fittings are.A little adhesive will help there but once fitted if careful they will be fine.Anyway there we go. I can now work on `Faffer` after work now, i wish, i have more hours now at work again so doing 14hr days it is not easy when i get home to get motivated now. Sods law again, i was looking forward to getting work done over winter now i dont have the time. image: https://s5.postimg.org/xvo2rrml3/tn_20171112_165602.jpg image: https://s5.postimg.org/qfot5z6lj/tn_20171112_165611.jpg Berths image: https://s5.postimg.org/izpjk7drb/tn_20171112_165704.jpg image: https://s5.postimg.org/5vjz7i69z/tn_20171112_165714.jpg For the galley lights i still need a small down light for above the cooker. Previously i shown what i got for the cupboards and today thought i would see what they are like under the gunnel for the worktop. One above the sink and one further to the left. This is temp wired to see how it looks and i like. One thing i checked was that they didnt glare in your eyes to much if your sat down, my eyes are getting worse now with sensitivity to light so i always check they are not to bright and direction of the lights. image: https://s5.postimg.org/3qzm6ck1z/tn_20171112_161345.jpg image: https://s5.postimg.org/43r0clumv/tn_20171112_165756.jpg Last bit was the door for the fuse box and the Big Light switch. It still needs to be hinged and the switch needs fixing properly but that can be done when it has all been varnished with the Tonkinois next year when temps get up again, bit cold now for all that. image: https://s5.postimg.org/gv56j2eon/tn_20171112_161504.jpg Ay up, how can i forget.A week or so ago as you may have seen i got the helm wheel, i had to sit it in place to see how it looks and if it fits nice with out interfering with the controls when at full throttle at 30 knots on the plane......ok i got carried away a little there lol. image: http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/attachments/tn_20171105_112715-jpg.123397/ image: http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/attachments/tn_20171105_112727-jpg.123398/ image: http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/attachments/tn_20171105_112754-jpg.123399/ Now when i got this i didnt look close enough and missed this damage to the face of the wheel, gutted but an idea is to cover it with a turks head maybe and a marker for full steam straight ahead. image: http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/attachments/tn_20171105_162934-jpg.123400/ I am still pondering over how to line it out in the cabin. Another choice i have been shown is using Hessian and painting it with a mold resistant paint. Not to keen on that either. We will see, a few months of still for that job so time to ponder. It looked good if somewhat garish. The great thing about any kind of cloth like that is that while the Evo-Stick is still wet you can push it into nooks and crannies and it will stretch and shrink as required.
