Anodes Bubbling

We are in Salthouse dock in Liverpool and the boat next to us has anodes amidship, one is right opposite our side hatch.

I have noticed a constant stream of small, and not so small, bubbles rising from it. I guess its because the water is a bit salty.

 

Its nice to know that they work!

I've read somewhere else about anodes fizzing in Salthouse.

 

RW's hull is a bit weedisherous @ pres. Another reason for heading there come September.

I remember quoting such bubbling from our anodes when we were there and someone on here announced his disbelief.

I've witnessed just such bubbling from the anodes on an inland water equipped boat when it was on show in the water at the Southampton boat show and, like you, I was rubbished when I mentioned it to somebody. Nah, apparently, we are ALL imagining it.
