Curtain rails

Can anyone recommend a good place to find nice 125cmish in length curtain rails for a narrowboat? I can only find very cheap plastic ones or oversized domestic ones. I would love them to look nice, otherwise it will be a pair of these: http://marinestore.co.uk/MD031042.html - if I use these <-------- would it be good to use 2 sets per window to ensure they hug the frame and the bottom and provide the best insulation?

 

All and any ideas or thoughts would be great!

Midland Chandlers on our marina stock various thickness brass rod which coupled with the correct mounts look very nice....

 

(We happenen to have them on our boat but it came with them)

I like brass rods. You can also have another longer rod at the bottom for the curtains to tuck behind.

Hello, why not try www.blindsmegastore.co.uk I found them on ebay, and they are situated in Northants.

I bought my brass cafe rods from there, they also do chrome and are ideal.

Ikea have white painted fairly solid steel rods, 1/4" diameter, and about 5'0" long for £3.00

Absolutely supurb in every way. Very easy to fit, compact and doesn't suffer from the 'hospital curtain' look of Silent Gliss. Included is a magnet that keeps the curtains tightly closed which is a bonus.

Bamboo cane looks much nicer than blingy brass rod and it's cheap or for nothing. You can also use it to thrash a mutinous crew.
