Braunston Rally

We went to the Rally yesterday. The notice for the parking fees of £10 per car said, Profit from the fees will go to "Canal causes" I was wondering what these causes were likely to be?

Mostly Raymond. President gets some, as do some canal resto trusts.

 

They're the ones favoured by the Laird.

 

I park elsewhere.

Plenty of pretty affluent looking people were parking in the village and walking down which seemed a bit skinflint. A tenner a car didn't seem a lot to pay for a day's entertainment.

I was suprised president was not there i saw them two weeks ago heading down the Nene, i thought then they where heading the wrong way.
