Our boat as she was when we bought her, and as she is now (Roof raised, larger windows install, stairway shifted). Lots of other mods elsewhere, including hull lengthening, cabins rearranged,  machinery changed, toilets installed ..... and so on. There are still  a few original bits somewhere, I think.

Its worth a visit. There are plaques on pedestals placed where the gliders landed. Sadly when we visited back in the 8O's they had been badly vandalised.

A boat that has featured many times in this thread seen this afternoon at Brentford.

ETA - I should have downloaded a higher res version so it was clear that it's the (presumably former) Union Canal Cruisers boat Great Britain.

Bridge currently permanently open, pedestrians need to walk over the road bridge
 

 

That's new - I swung it last Saturday! It is apparently perpetually breaking, though, and the landing on one side is currently in need of repair.

Saturday at the Saltaire Arts Festival, the first time we have been able to open Kennet for the public since the end of 2019. Not everyone was overjoyed to be photographed with Dicky Billy.
