  1. we have the above mentioned fridge,it seems not to want to work,the compresser which is a danfoss bd35f comes on,but the fridge doesn,t get cold,i have bypassed the thermostat but still no joy,any suggestions please,the fridge is 3 years old and we are on the boat every other week throughout the year,thank you john

  5. hi,no contest,4 stroke all the way,had a dawncraft 25 for 5 years with a honda 9.9,never used full power cruising,otherwise would have been well over the normal cruise speed,very economical as well,2 strokes are better for rivers/sea where you can really open them up.hope this helps john

  9. the shroppie is shallow on the sides unless you are on official moorings,the shelf is where the sides have been built up do to subsidence,hence about a foot under water you have a concrete shelf which does'nt allow a peaceful nights sleep !most boats carry small wheel,s to put down the side,we use trailer wheel,s complete with tires.(tyres)

  14. we have a big hasp and lack welded straight over the whole thing,it's 3 inch wide x 6inch length works well,so you don't have to drill the lip.

  16. hi,the dry mesh works very well,we had it for years in our motorhome,now on the boat,it works even better with slats instead of solid boards.john

  20. cheers for the info biggles/mrsmelly,the marine kit is 12 months old brand new,all for £732,have a sqirrell with back boiler,4 radiators,towel rail,just need to work out the plumbing to cali.thank you.

    had the same op a few years ago,the problems start when they take the stitches out i ended up with a heamorage? that needed cleaned and plugged everyday for a fortnight,had a plastic plate put in.!
