  1. I passed at least 4 forum members yesterday, and they are all still alive to tell the tale... ( unless mrsmelly got a lock - in at the muckyduck). My boat is rather to obvious for me to annoy people, .....it's also how I like to move other people boats as well.
  2. I didn't leave Alvecote until 6am and you wouldn't have woken up if it was me

  4. You will be happy to know there has been a good outcome to this story. The Burton article put the wheels in motion and local charities, care groups and the might of CRT all cane together to make sure that the man's soup sat evenly in his bowl. The boat has been moved 5 mooring spaces further along.
  5. What happened to the third boat in this series........ Mon?
  6. I met the same 3 boats , one at each of the Whittington bridges I do agree with the excellence of this time of year though. Top one is now, bottom one was Friday evening.

  10. If I'd known that I could have crushed them F O C 2 days ago.
  11. I did hear we had some cold weather was on the way so I wintered as well. 1. Take a couple of bags of coal off roof and put inside front cratch. 2. Move a summers detritus off the Epping.
  12. At least if Prue comes and reads this, she will realise what you have to go through every time a wide boat is pumped out.

  14. They probably are aware of it if they are, yes.

  16. ..........Bowthruster. Perhaps Prue could ask the widebeam owner to add additional ballast to steady the bobbing boat.
  17. The K and A is like the V&A in London, full of static exhibits and luvvy hippies that move very slowly, if at all.
  18. CRT are fully aware of the boats present mooring.
  19. It's ok, it soon passes in a widebeam. You get moored somewhere and the silt soon fills under the boat removing any motion.
  20. I did Audlem to Little Venice in the same day once, as I only stopped at one newsagents.
  21. I always check for stoppages, and plan around them as I cruise myself and move boats all year round. The issue here is that you can plan all you like, then the stoppages get changed with little or no notice.
