I have never met you but have enjoyed your nolagable posts, espeshaly the ones regarding the bcn, an area regarded as a joke by most of this country and a danger to be avoided by most boaters. It was sad to read this and what sounds like a real end of a era for you.I wish you well and hope to see meany more of your post on hear,reminding us all that the waterways are not just a holaday home but has a proud history aswell.

People should pay for there licences but if you have no money and no home what would you do? Living in old trucks and buses [my past] has been stamped on, squats are ilegal, so whats left? cheep plastic boat and keep moving, better than a park bench.

Untill they 'took' this dog, what harm were they doing? The camo boat was nicking things from other boaters and the police got him for it, there has been no reports of theft by these people. So they are scruffy and broke, the poor will always be with us.

If there are that few, why stop them from having the short term licence? In the marina we are in most people have just stoped going out, does cart not need every pound it can get?

Did the cost of fuel help you look so stresed whilst deiseling up at Norbury junction in July?

We went out this year after 2 years away, using a 3 month licence. We would go out more if we could get short term licences but they have been stoped, leaving me no option but to have a 3 or 6 month licence every second year. There are others at the marina who just dont go out ,now they cant get a week or month licence. How much is this costing canal/river side busineses.
