  1. Hear endith the story of Peters new boat
  2. I wonder what one would cost as a retro fit. I did consider it a few years back when Dan was talking about them, to late for me now, I will just go with what I have. Its hard enough getting someone to do a decent job of changing the bottom cup bearing
  3. I could only find it for ceramic, Halogen and induction hobs, a glass cleaner
  4. Not mine, I did watch a chap make a nice job of his non slip roof with one on the Ashby canal one day, dangling the end down in the cut but you are trying to drag it up over 6ft. Maybe he primed it all first, I don't know.
  5. Well I have met 3 boats just this week who are going, so it may be busy. I would suggest you ring them tomorrow morning
  6. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  7. I attach mine to the boat with cord chopping the chain off at the first link sticking out
  8. A facebook posting last week The decks and roof have filth from mud ground into the rough, non-slip paint. I can scrub with a brush on a drill, but climbing up and down to fill a watering can in the cut to rinse off is a killer, and it's a very big roof. I managed to find a cordless pressure washer on Amazon with a hose that I can dangle in the cut. Difficult delivery as too big for their lockers, so had to wait til I could moor near a road for the driver to find the boat. That was one job to be done today - except the washer won't suck water, so now I have the task of an awkward return for refund.
  9. I think a photo of this thing with a screen may help before you start throwing money about.
  10. A couple of photos from Facebook taken by Brian Cockayne Brian again If you do Facebook there is a Video at (1) Brian Cockayne - Today at the landslide site, Easenhall cutting,... | Facebook
  11. Is that the voltage coming from your alternator with the engine at cruising speed
  12. At one time I had a tank for white at home to fill the car and Landrover. I got a reasonable price because they added the heating oil and diesel together for the bulk discount but I was always worried someone would nick it or the tank might leak. It wasn't a bunded tank but it wasn't close to a watercourse.
  13. Do boat builders still self certify for RCR like they did with RCD?
  14. I have just had this pop up as an advert RustBullet | RUST INHIBITIVE COATING (rustbulletuk.com)
  15. Its big enough but I don't know if it will like the wave form
  16. Getting close from what I can remember, I couldn't afford a pint in the marquee in the evening, but they were charging London prices
  17. I felt a bit miffed paying to take my boat to Cavelcade and mooring outside someone who was moored for free
  18. I would suggest you are wrongly advised, what you can't use is these
  19. If its on the Metro then maybe the boat clubs like The Watch House can help
  20. Sounds like the Thames moorings
