Well the dams have gone & so have the contractors. Full of water again. Dunno if officially open for Navigation yet. Maybe needs time to settle or for CaRT to approve?
  3. http://solarwindturbinebatteries.co.uk/products-page/new-cells-ipzsepzshpsz-2v-cells/ Typical costings here?
  4. So you can use Genny somewhere else? Mine regularly goes in van for site work. LPG would be a PITA.
  5. My Avatar bike sits on back deck.[cruiser] Wheel on & off. Have had Norton Commando on back previously. Am 11'5" wide. Aft entry is offset to side so that entry/exit is still possible. Use a folding ramp.
  6. DEJA VU ANYONE? I can see this becoming a Top Trump Thread .
  7. Take a puncture repair kit [or two] with you.
  8. As pointed out in 1st post i made-Dependent on how much rust
  9. Deff no 'water in the cut' here!
  10. Everyone will recommend different things now. I believe Feinn [prob. spelt wrong] are the 'benchmark' to judge by. I've got this; http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NC3968E?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 Dose what i need it to do. Relatively cheap 'n cheerful. It isn't used heavily so didn't see point in paying for a heavy duty unit. Main thing is to get one with the more common blade [attachment] fixings. So when you do run out they are easily sourced again. The blade quality matters more than the actual driver tool it seems. Edits to try and offset pedant observations [this will drag 'em in!]
  11. Dependent on how rusty a multi tool would probably do as good a job & the pads would get into the corners. Somrthing a rotory grinder won't. You then have a bit of kit that can then do other things [ie woodwork etc.] at a later date. Would be slower than a grinder but MUCH more controllable & safer. Still need PPE mind.
  12. Oooh goody. The pdf ones are dead boring. Look home made
  13. I am sure Mr. Bizz will be creating even as I type
  14. I got the Rolson equivalent a few years back. IIRC was a lead battery so would self discharge if left for a week. Being halogen would dim out after about an hour once a couple of months old. Several of us had them and they were all dumped by the end of the winter. Hopefully things have improved.
  15. When needing a quick fix go here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U01xasUtlvw
  16. Recieved renewal today. Phoned in. Did on card All done and dusted. Before I had hung up my Gmail tinged & there was my licence in me inbox[ooer matron] Can't fault that. The lady is also posting out to me as i played the no printer card. Only disappointment is the monochrome state. WHERE THE PRETTY COLOURS GONE!
  17. Yet only a week ago AWESOME!http://www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=80578
  18. I have one. On K&A have only found a few places where it worked well. On present mooring it spends more time body spinning around looking for wind than actually blade spinning. If elsewhere may put up again but not erected at the moment.[for the last year in fact] Had i known where i was going to end up would have been better off buying more solar. However if my mooring was 100ft further east even that would be questionable as i would be under a bloody big tree! If you cc then can be good but you need to sort out a way to rig and drop easily & safely.
  19. Skin tank or Raw water? This may call for some popcorn & sit back. End.
  20. Setting up the desdromics can be a bit of fun. Thats why I went Side valve instead.
  21. This might be one where a photo or two may help?
  22. Why not just get a small puresine inverter dedicated solely for your hi-fi? Clearly you want to keep your present kit but faffing around like this may well lead to damage to the kit you have. End
