Does it make a difference if i put the boat in gear whilst heating the hot water ? Or is this bad practice . I have seen hire company's running there boats in gear whilst waiting for holiday makers to turn up. Any thoughts on this people's!

i couldnt agree more ! when i was a kid i learned that if i climbed a tree and fell out it hurtand it was my fault for climbing the tree ! now days they but a barrier around it ! to me thats not learning !

Thanks guy's it's good to know there's help out there when needed ! This is my first time on here and proved a great find. Keep up the good work. So this looks like a mucky and long job but it will be worth the effort when done. I don't think there's any rust under the crud but if there is I know what to do now !

Can anyone recommend the best way to clean out my bilge, having just got the boat and previous owners neglecting the bilges ? I want to get it to a state where I can re - paint the engine bay . Thanks
