Agreed, but there is a difference between a funeral where everybody there probably knows the temperament of the main participant, and a public forum. I'm sure nobody would knowingly say anything that would hurt those friends and family left behind, but a comment made in jest that the deceased would enjoy is only amusing to those 'in the know'. To anybody else it would appear to be in bad taste - not always a bad thing, but it sets a benchmark that others, who don't know the deceased, might step up to and in doing so, cause immense hurt to close family and friends.
Or perhaps (due to my age!) I'm being too sensitive.
