  1. Holliday Wharf has to be one of the windiest points, I've tried holding the boat there waiting for someone to get off the water point and ended up pinned to the opposite bank.
  2. Nothing wrong with the song in the right place which this thread wasn't.
  3. It is an electric drive and seems to like going round in circles.
  4. They didn't look very jolly when I was heading towards them towing a butty, if they had known which side to be on it would have helped.
  5. Not going to get in to a discussion on this thread but rules or not, given the subject of the thread that song is not appropriate and in my view tasteless, therefore it should not be a post in this thread.
  6. They are still bookable in Birmingham from the go boat web site so I presumed they were returning. Having just tried to find an available date there weren't any so hopefully they have been moved.
  7. I agree and have reported the post as inappropriate.
  8. Feb 29 was in last year's mooring fee.
  9. Maybe the way they have quoted it is misleading as it runs 1st April to 31st March which is 364 days. Yes they emailed us a PDF, as license doesn't renew until October won't find out until then if we need to provide that to CRT.
  10. Our marina has issued us a new style receipt this year which shows the marina details, boat details and the number of nights paid for which is 364 so we can provide evidence to CRT when renewing our licence.
  11. @Captain Pegg
  12. Sad news, I was out on England with Alice a couple of years ago on the Alvecote parade.
  13. Today Lift bridge which seems to have multiple names Locomotive bridge on the control panel Quay Road bridge on the sign Turnbridge Lift bridge on Canalplan
  14. Beat me to it, I seem to remember they had design input from Edinburgh university.
  15. Just had a stoppage notice for part of the Droitwich and the Severn below Upper Lode, hopefully won't close above Worcester and you will be ok.
  16. That was what I was wondering, I've done it myself where I've tried to flush a boat out but it doesn't move and the water level in the lock starts rising. Fortunately I was watching the levels so closed the paddles.
  17. And many other pubs around the network.
  18. Anyone know how it ended up sunk, half out the bottom gates, did it get jammed leaving the lock and the lock start refilling behind them...?
  19. WPA is an older, less secure, method of encryption so enabling WPA/WPA2 reduces the encryption level and would allow an older device that does not support WPA2 encryption but makes your WiFi easier to hack.
  20. I turn my tablet fully off overnight as I turn the router and inverter off as well which means the tablet, if left on, spends all night trying to find a wireless network to connect to.
  21. I have phoned the locker keeper at Upper Lode when sat there waiting and nothing happening, he hadn't spotted me entering the lock cutting so was unaware I was there.
  22. That looks like a CRT security padlock which will require a particular security level of key, different levels used for securing different things so that someone who has a key doesn't have access to all assets.
  23. The Morris 10W/40 states it is suitable to use where 15W/40 is specified.
