  2. I think the railway works in its heyday had its own fire brigade so that might make sense
  3. If you drop a couple of mud weights instead of attaching yourself to the bank are you actually infringing a 'No Mooring' notice?
  4. Hi GregK, It was craned out of a marina in Thorne near Doncaster and sent to Shepperton marina and the tranporter company name and telephone number is shown near the end of the video clip on the side of the lorry.

  22. I can sort of see where they are coming from but instead of just oil to clear up you might end up with a horrible gooey mess of a larger quantity to dispose of, Yuck. I would favour absorbent granules they soak up the oil and then you shovel the debris out, assuming you can get a trowel or a small coal shovel in the space. You can get said granules from a janitorial supplier they are used a lot in workshops where machine tools are used.
  23. I obviously didn't make myself very clear I was only suggesting using the hand pump to suck up the oil from under the engine into a container for disposal, not putting it back in the engine.
  24. Its a pity you refilled the engine before getting rid of the spill you might have been able to rig up the hand pump to a tube and suck up the oil into a container. Then reconnected it to the engine and refilled the engine.
  25. If you have 230V sockets you could replace a twin socket with one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Double-Socket-USB-Outlets/dp/B00B9G6YO0
