  3. If I am thinking of the same episode as you it was a slipway owned by TMP (Hampton) and is on Platts Eyot at Hampton on Thames. Whixh used to be ThornyCroft launch works during the war.
  4. Thanks for the info NB Willawaw. With regard to testing the Leisure Batteries. Yes as they are the dual purpose type. I think the tester needs the CCA so as it can work out the percentage charge and I assume if it is below a certain figure it tells you to change the battery.
  5. Hi there, I have access to a Midtronics Battery tester as used by the RAC but to use it properly you need to put the EN number or CCA rating for the battery on test. Marine batteries are rated at MCA which is calculated at a different tempuratue to CCA. Any ideas ?

  13. used to be a guy who lived on a houseboat on Taggs Island, Hampton. Name of boat was Kymanzi or something like if my memory is correct. I used him 5 years ago.
  14. I was moored outside a pub at Christleton on the Shropshire Union canal in the summer. It was opposite a boatyard where a day boat operates from and at the and of a day hire the operator empties the pump out into the canal.

  17. There are residential moorings on the Wey. There is one at Send but you had to be a weir keeper. The Roger fuller 70 foot boat was actually in this forums for sale section. The Manager of Pyford Marine used to live on his boat in the marina. The mooring warden at Paper Court lock lived on his boat last year.

  19. you are incorrect. There was trad which had bmc and then engine and then semi trad which had engine in bmc space. The other semi trad came later

  22. Came off of the Caldon Canal last Saturday week and it was all ok then.
  23. Perhaps they need the money to pay the fine thay should be getting for filling the marina with water without BW's permission
