  1. fraid I agree withg John, Grandma Pollards it is, meat pies cooked on the premises and chips cooked in lard yum. mind you tis safer to eat while in the lock than wander round on the towpath, it's the doggiest crappiest spot on the whole canal.
  2. oooo oooooh. cos the argument is wandering off topic and posted in a public forum. tho I found the first couple of posts mildly interesting I skipped the later ones.
  3. We can only allege that its the farmer who bears a grudge, he has blocked the canal several times tho. Hopefully BW will find evidence of who did it ( digger tracks perchance?) and prosecute. There's a lock gate there been damaged by "vandals" too last week, hence now a complete closure - presumably someone wasn't satisfied that a few boats were still getting thru. I was hoping to travel down to cheshire next week from littleborough summit but looks like I'll have to go yorkshire way, presuming grumpy howard (to quote BW staff ) keeps tuel lock open. It was closed one day last week because of "lack of water".

  9. fuzzy's post on the norman forum as follows quote FuzzyDuck Posted - 07 Mar 2007 : 22:06:39 Hmmmm It would appear we've been suspended for violations of our hosts ToS. I've just phoned them at a cost of 70p a minute for 37 minutes, but the person at the other end of the phone was a chocolate teapot. All i've been told is it's because we're hosting malicious scripts, or copyright material or some other stuff. We've raised a ticket with their billing department to find out what this mysterious "ToS" violation is. hopefully won't take much longer. end quote
