I don't know the layout of the Stanlow site but the article says it was in the 'higher olefins plant ' on the chemicals site. There are unlikely to be any large chemical storage tanks for that type of plant so hopefully any fire would not be that big. It would be far more worrying if the fire was in a product storage area, i.e. one of the tank farms.

Very surprising it hasn't made the evening beeb news!

How to do it properly...

This messed up fuel deliveries for months, shut the M1 and put the price of fuel up by quite a few pence at the time.

Driving round the site and surrounding destroyed industrial units a year later you were still amazed that no-one died.

Yes, in hindsight the decision to cremate George Best was the wrong one! ?
