FP50 fire extinguishers

Just seen an ad for these. Anyone know anything about them? I presume they’d not be acceptable for the BSS?

Looked at these at a caravan show and was not impressed.
Lots of clever words but no actual facts.

And they don't seem to be BS Approved, so probably not acceptable.

Thanks. As I suspected. I looked on their website for details and all I found was ‘nano technology’ by which I presume they mean ‘little tiny things’

The fp50 is rated 8B/5F so does not meet the 5A/34B min requirement.  It also seems to be lacking any of the acceptable approvals required by the BSS.  That said, there is nothing to stop you having one as well, it just isn’t a fire extinguisher as far as BSS is concerned.

Clearly not relevant to the BSS, which should be covered by other extinguishers.   However the "No residue" sounds as though it could be useful to carry one for a small fire.

Yes, but that applied to CTC extinguishers and as for nano technology - what’s the difference between that an diesel particulates?
