Beta 38 water pump

Anyone know if there is an alternative water pump to use on a beta 38 engine perhaps off a car or something . My mates water pump as packed up and he's not on the Internet so I'm asking for him. He as been quoted about 220 from beta.

Tell him to try Kubota agricultural or plant agents but he will need to find the Kubota engine number.

It is possible to get the original rebuilt for less than £100. I know of one firm who would do it in Warrington but there must be others.

Are we talking about the Jabsco pump on the end of the camshaft or the Kubota pump on the engine itself?
