On Facebook page, the call goes out

"Grab your wallets, I hear Pete's about!"

 

But all round town, their calls in vain

For Pete can't hear their calls of pain

Occasionally he might chug through

With Excel, Taybrite, and Elsan Blue

 

I am afraid you're one of many

To give this cry "I have some pennies!

To spend on finest Smokeless fuel!"

But Pete can't hear, and stoves remain cool.

There is a pinned post on the London Boaters facebook page giving details of suppliers including coal boats. There are Sainsbury's at Alperton and Kensall Green that may sell coal.

Their is also a canalside B and M home store at Yiewsley, their web site claims that they sell coal and kindling. Their is also a Tesco next door

do not high line at Northolt sell coal ? Ive never stopped there so ive no idea ?

Theres a wickes not far from the big sainsbury at Alperton - they often have 3 for price of 2 deals each winter . you would need a wheelbarrow mind you .

 

Big Tescos at Bulls Bridge ?

Sainsburys petrol garage at Alperton ( pricey i expect )

Having just boated past them I now realise my mistake in that Yiewsley is on the GU main line, not the Paddington Arm!
