Hopper window fittings

Foxofthelocks

Featured Posts

There was a posting by Peter N July 5th 2014 about hopper window catches that were in short supply. The recommendation was to try Caldwells Windows. Unfortunately they have run out of stock and the manufacturers are no longer making them.

Any ideas for alternative suppliers?

Ken

(PS cant figure out how to attach a picture but they are aluminium/gold and rotate on a central screw to fox into the gap between window and frame. )

When I saw that, I immediately thought it was a sash window catch.

If you bring up "Google", type in e.g. sash window catches, and click on "images", you get loads of images of sash windows catches (as you do smile.png )

The useful thing is that each has a supplier / web address attached to the image, so you know where to try to find them.

Yup

The business bit of a Fitch sash fastener.

Many thanks for your helpful replies. Its good to their are friends out there.

The Wesley catch might work but it is not quite the same and I cannot see what the other side of the fitting is like but will send for a couple. It seems to fit through the glass in the same way unlike the Fitch fastener.

If anyone can tell me how to attach or insert an image into these replies I will do it.
