What makes a Hudson?

Here is a Hudson we hired.

 

Bow looks ok from certain angles

 

 

 

However when you start to look harder at other angles it loses it's elegance with an exaggerated pinch and upturn.

 

 

 

 

Contrasted to a Simon Wain

If you search on Norton Canes and Dave Harris too their bows are a thing of proportionate beauty too.

Mr. Lump, once you have seen one "in the flesh" and realised that it is a Hudson, you will always be able to spot them.

 

That said, a very handsome boat called Bruin moored near us last night. I thought at first that it was a Hudson, the bow shape was very similar, but the details of the superstructure did not look quite right. It transpired that it was a Les Allen.

Sorry, Athy....I've known the Allen output since the 60s, they are nothing like the Hudson bow. Glasses on?
