Dinz
Apparently so! Spoke to Diesel boat guys yesterday and still down! It looks like the dredger has had a dig about by it [probably so it could get past!] Wessex Rose will have a go in a few weeks. If that gets through all should. Anyway shall await 'official update' from CaRT!!???!$£%^&.

Dinz
She is an old wooden NB that went under the name 'Badger' From what I hear only 2 left. Sorry but do not know ins and outs.

spadefoot
Oh no, met that boat & it's owner back last August. I asked about his bilge pump running so often & we nattered about old wooden boats. Was kinda hoping it might have been a small plastic, could've driven through it....(kidding)
Dinz
Yes, that's the one. Been about a while. The bilge was always running a fair bit last time I saw her. I believe the 2nd [or 3rd] to last owner bought her back up but maybe lack of interest by present owner has led to its eventual demise. As I say I don't know all the facts about it. Near the old swing bridge I believe so I don't think you can see it from Horton Bridge. Point is that many weeks have gone by and yet still there it sits! Ho Hum. MtB
Apparently so! Spoke to Diesel boat guys yesterday and still down! Anyway shall await 'official update' from CaRT!!???!$£%^&. It's beginning to look as though CRT now have a policy of leaving sunken boats where they are, and expecting the owners and their insurance companies to deal with them. hilaryb
As long as they dont block the navigation???
MtB
As long as they dont block the navigation??? They left that boat in the lock at Bath for the owners to remove, IIRC.

Plonk
Still there on the 8th March. Passable with caution, as they say. A very sorry sight :-(
dmr
I went past a week ago and it was not too difficult getting round it, however its on a bend so if approaching from the East you happen upon it a bit quick! Whilst we were in Devizes a moonbeam boat turned up so its obviously possible to get a fairly wide fatboat past it. The back is at the bank but the front is mid channel and so well sunk, so a bit of a challenge for the boat raisers, especially CaRT! ...............Dave

Bunny
Just spoken to a crt operative , here at ABC Aldermaston whilst one of their work boats is being put into the water , he said they hope to have Higgs open for Easter . While it is about 2 days work to do a good temporary repair , sound enough to last the summer , they have to get all the equipment there .
