Replacement window and glass (northern England)

Does anyone know where I'd be able to get a replacement glass from for a standard (hopper style) window?

The aluminium cross member is also missing, so any ideas where I'd get one of those, too?

I'm based near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Been broken into so would need somewhere that I could collect from in the morning.

Thanks in advance,

James

What make of window do you have? The glass should be toughened, so you can't just get a piece cut to fit. If the frame has been damaged, by removal of the cross bar, then you really need to speak with the window maker. In the meantime, you can cover the window with a bit ply, screwed through into a couple of battens across the inside.

Thanks a lot. I'll give them a call in the morning - hopefully someone will be there.

Apparently, the kids that broke into my boat said they're gonna come back for the rest of my stuff (what's left of it...), so I hope they're in 2moz.

Also gonna try the local boat builders to see if they have owt knocking around.

I would go for the wood fix for now. I hope you reported it to the police etc. It might not help get your stuff back but they just might remember they have a canal on their doorstep and put a patrol or two out...

Hope you get it sorted

Cheers

Gareth
