London Moorings?

Full residential berths are regularly advertised on the CRT

Morons auction site at Engineers Wharf and at Willow Wren Wharf.

Often they don't atract bids, though, so perhaps questionable if even at reserve price whether they are good value.

If none currently being advertised, they are likely to still keep come up from time to time.

Bloody predictive text.

CRT Morons site - I like it so I'll leave it.

Also wants to change CRT to CRAP!

As said, just keep an eye on:-

https://www.crtmoorings.com/index.php

If you register, they will send you e-mails about new auctions that meet your criteria. You can also search past auctions for ones that attracted no bids, and these are normaly re-advertised a few weeks later.

As for value, I'm happy with mine. The only downside if you win an auction is that the initial agreement is for three years. Payment is either annually, the whole three years at once, or monthly by direct debit.

Bye!

I saw one come up at Ice Wharf the other day on the CRT auction listings. Very expensive, but great location.

We moor on a private mooring on the Thames - we found it by googling - it was advertised on Apollo Duck and had been (seemingly ignored) for over a month.

The prices are high though - there's no getting away from that. Unless you can get in somewhere like CHUG (unlikely).

Good luck :)

What do you class as London? That is perhaps the most important question.

I have a mooring in London and I pay less than £2k for and that is for a 50ft boat. The conpensation I had to make is that I am a 20min tube journey from central London. If you want to be closer to town, I saw a mooring on the CRT auction site the other day for a space in Paddington Basin that was about £8k iirc. I'm not sure whay Limehouse charge but it may be just under the £10k mark.

Having spent the best part of this year looking into London moorings, my opinion is that they are not as much like 'hen's teeth' as what people will have you believe.
