Rochdale 9 - 4times in 4 days

A Japanese tv program wants to film us leaving Castlefield, and arriving in Picadilly Village.

This means we'll be travelling down the Rochdale 9 on Saturday and back up (being filmed) on Sunday.

Then, if the weather isnt that great, they would like us to do it the following weekend again :)

We recently did the same stretch to get back to the marina (2 weeks ago) and we did it again to bring up our teens new project boat.

That would make us doing the Rochdale 9 six times in a month.

Are we crazy...lol.

Does that make you a waterways trader?

No. They aren't paying to use the boat. They're paying us for our story...and filming from a distance smile.png

eta. And it's a once off.

eta and it's not on CRT waters.

I knew you where the right man (& woman, Mariella) for the job, comfortably crazy ;-)

We had the same team with us for 2 days a month for a year, they're a fairly good gang to work with.

You never know this might be the start of your film career!

Cheers, Brian

How can you do the Rochdale 9 and not be on CRT waters then?

Boat too wide to drag along the tow path at that point, surely?

They're filming us entering lock 92...lol...that makes the water inside the lock, before filling...Duke of Bridgewater's water.lol.
