frahkn
Hi, Often, looking at boat reviews I see boats with eye-level lpg ovens. However, looking on the net, the vast majority seem to need 230 volt power. Can anyone with one of these ovens on their boat point me to a non mains powered option or explain how they have got round the problem. Thanks. Frank. alan_fincher
Not fully checked it out, but this one says 12 volt ignition and 12 volt power with no mention of 240 volts. Linky Need to check yourself, though, as sometimes details are wrong.
jodansgang
I fit Thetford or Spinflow. 12volt ignition or manual sparker options are available. Just as long as you meet the ventilation requirements of the appliance they're a doddle. I'll help any way I can.
blackrose
Is it that much of a problem to light a mains ignition lpg cooker manually, or from an inverter while off shore power? That's what I do with my mains ignition hob. Edited December 31, 2012 by blackrose
jodansgang
why have a mains powered one at all. Truma manufacture a one that operates on one AA battery. Spark generators are remote components anyway and can very easily be changed. Edited December 31, 2012 by jodansgang

The branding is sometime different but this is the the same oven as we have, it's fitted eye level on our boat and it ignites with 12V...
