Blacking - oop North

Guest

Featured Posts

Our plans had been to get The Dog House blacked in the Midlands this/next month, and we had a short list of poss. places based on other threads.

Our move North happened a bit more sudden than expected so this will not now happen and we need some one on or near the Aire & Calder/Eastern L&L.

Not fancying the DIY option -

Any suggestions preferably based on experience.

Many thanks....

Hi Martin

Had ours done at Shepley bridge on the calder and hebble last month they did a very good job very reasonable price. We are up there today a nice canal but the locks are a tad heavy and have not much improved since last up here in 90.

Although I always get mine done here at Sowerby Bridge, my neighbour always goes down to Shepley Bridge to get hers done (because it's cheaper) and she seems quite satisfied. I came up the whole of the C&H a couple of days ago, and only found one lock difficult (Park Nook). Some have actually improved.

We've just had ours done at Pennine Cruisers at Skipton.

A strange experience as you go into this hole under the timber yard and a large 4 post lift lifts you up out of the water. Only takes about 20 minutes to bring you up.

Regards

Pete
