Has anyone heard of Polly Perkins?

I'm looking at buying a 40' called Polly Perkins and wondered of anyone had heard of her before?

Possibly but I'm quite sure she had an ankle like an antelope and a step like a deer, a voice like a blackbird, so mellow and clear.

Mine was when the boat was fairly new and my daughter was telling her school-friends about it. One of them asked about the engine and she replied "Oh I don't know, it's something to do with Dorothy Perkins"

Maybe they're sisters. Or perhaps she's gone Dotty?

 

Or maybe Polly has turned into a multi-sided geometrical figure (a Polly-gone) and has had to leave us.

 

If so Dorothy will have to fill the vacancy (act as a Polly-filler).
